Handmade
Creations by Toby and Penny Attrill

We
are forever on a treasure hunt searching for interesting elements to
add to our creations. Hiking over the moors in our home town of Todmorden,
we collect sheep's wool, and together with wool tops from Merino
sheep, we wash and felt it into handmade beads and other shapes
for our collection.

Toby
has scoured the river in Hardcastle
Crags collecting fragments of china that have been smoothed by water
over the years, and we use these to make brooches and pendants.

visit antique fairs sourcing old buttons and strings of vintage facetted

In
Lanzarote we found beads made from lava and in Stoke-on-Trent we met
a blacksmith who knots up nails! Everywhere we go, we keep our eyes
open for new treasures to adorn our creations.

Polymer
clay is one of our favourite materials, the colours can be mixed to
make wonderful beads, rolled and layered in different millefiore
combinations to create patterns and shapes within each individual
bead, and glitter added for extra |
